| Abstract (German): | Sexueller Missbrauch von Kindern und Jugendlichen wurde im Frühjahr 2010 zu einem dominanten Thema in den Leitmedien des deutschen Sprachraums. Ausgehend von Fällen in katholischen Internaten wurde die Odenwaldschule in Hessen zu einem Brennpunkt der Berichterstattung. Am Ende des Jahres war klar, dass in der Schule mehr als dreissig Jahre lang massiv Missbrauch stattgefunden hatte. Der Haupttäter war Gerold Becker, ein notorischer Päderast, der mit Hartmut von Hentig befreundet war. Beide waren dezidierte Kritiker der Staatsschule und beriefen sich auf die Reformpädagogik. Der Beitrag fragt, was aus diesem Fall für die Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung und die Berufung auf die Reformpädagogik folgt. |
| Abstract (English): | In spring 2010, sexual abuse of children and adolescents was a dominant topic in the media of the German-speaking world. Beginning with cases in catholic boarding schools, the wave of uncoverings soon reached the Odenwaldschule, then regarded as the flagship of German progressive education. By the end of the year it became clear that the Odenwaldschule was a location where systematic abuse had taken place for more than thirty years. The main offender was Gerold Becker, a close friend of Hartmut von Hentig, Germany’s most prominent professor of education. Both stood for a radical critique of conventional state schools and alternatives in the spirit of progressive education. The article asks as to what follows from the Odenwald-case for teacher education and its continuous reference to the «tradition» of progressive education. |
