| Abstract (German): | Die Qualität von Bildung ist in den vergangenen Jahren ein beherrschendes Thema der öffentlichen und auch der wissenschaftlichen Debatte geworden, auch in der Weiterbildung. Selten jedoch wird die Frage nach dem Preis von Weiterbildung thematisiert, noch seltener die Frage nach dem Zusammenhang dieser beiden Merkmale. Trotz des begrenzten Wissens über die Qualität und den Preis von Weiterbildung wurden und werden in der Weiterbildung bildungspolitische Reformstrategien etabliert, die sowohl die Qualität als auch den Preis der Weiterbildung gezielt zu beeinflussen suchen. Dies gilt für die rechtliche Reglementierung, die Professionalisierung und die Qualitätssicherung in gleicher Weise, auch wenn sie je unterschiedliche Handlungsebenen der Weiterbildung (das Gesamtsystem, die Programme, die Organisationen) fokussieren. Vor diesem Hintergrund geht der vorliegende Beitrag in einem mehrebenenanalytischen Untersuchungsdesign, gestützt auf die Inhaltsanalyse von Weiterbildungsangeboten, der Frage nach, wie sich diese Modernisierungsstrategien auf die Qualität und den Preis von Weiterbildung auswirken. | Abstract (English): | In recent years, the quality of education has become a dominant topic in both the public and the scientific debate, also in the field of further education. The question of the costs of further education, however, is hardly ever raised, and even less so the question of the interrelation of these two features. Despite the limited knowledge about the quality and the costs of further education, education-political reform strategies are being established in further education that are specifically aimed at influencing both the quality and the costs of further education. This applies to legal regimentation, professionalization, and quality maintenance alike, even though they focus on different levels of action in further education (the overall system, the programs, the organization). Against this background and by applying a multi-level analytical research design based on the content analysis of programs of further education, the present contribution enquires into the question of how these modernization strategies influence the quality and the costs of further education.
